Job Function

Reporting to the PI, the STEM Program Coordinator will provide administrative support for all program activities, including:
coordination of communications, recruitment, and support for the Barnard Noyce Teacher Scholars Program (BNTSP), Science in the City, and Math and the City programs.

Position Summary Information

Essential Duties Summary

1. Coordination of communications, recruitment, and support for the Barnard Noyce Teacher Scholars Program (BNTSP), Science in the City, and Math and the City programs, including:
a. website development and maintenance
b. email, twitter blasts
c. development and dissemination of program posters and brochures
2. Receive and process Noyce program and Noyce summer internship applications
3. Work with PI and co-PIs to schedule and book speakers or workshop leaders for STEM Colloquia and STEM Field Explorations
4. Arrange logistics for STEM Colloquia and STEM Field Explorations
a. Room reservations, videotaping, and catering
b. Speaker’s contracts and video permissions
5. Work with faculty to recruit teachers and students for Science in the City and Math and City
6. Maintain student files and records
7. Coordinate program budgets, ordering, and payments
8. Assist with program evaluation through collection of program evaluation instruments and data

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience with web design, social networking
• Excellent writing, grammatical, and proofreading skills
• Ability to work independently, to organize projects and follow through on details
• Ability to relate effectively and positively with students, alumnae, parents, staff members, faculty members, colleagues, and institutional partners

Required Qualification Summary

• Very strong computer skills, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
• BA in STEM or Education Field

Preferred Qualification Summary

MA preferred plus 1-2 years related experience in STEM or Education field
